It seems like just about everyone is an astrologer these days with trends like tracking the moon at an all-time high. If you haven’t heard the phrase, “The moon is in retrograde” you have likely been living under a rock for the past year. I recently hopped on the astrology bandwagon and have grown completely attached to the study of the stars, thanks to my astrologer, Rebecca Gordon. I’m still in awe at how much insight and introspection astrology has gave me. If you’re interested in learning more, check out her beginner’s astrology course here — more info at the bottom of this post as well.
Astrology has cracked open a whole new level of consciousness. Here are three main ways that the study of the stars has changed my life for the better —
1. I have greater self-awareness
We all work on our self-care routine, but what about our self-awareness routine? Learning about my sun, moon, and rising sign and where other planets are in my birth chart has provided me with an overflowing sense of awareness, love, and worth. Sure your environment has a significant impact on who you are today, but there are things nestled deep inside your core (and in the stars) that help mold who you are as a person. Don’t you want to know the internal keys that make you tick?
2. My calendar is optimized
There are specific and broad dates, months, and timeframes that Rebecca points out to me during our sessions. I then note all of these topics and themes in the all-day section of my calendar for that specific day or start of the month and create alerts to keep these themes top of mind. Astrology can also help organize your to-do’s for the week, depending on what sign the moon is in. For example, if the moon is in scorpio (like it is the today), it’s all about passionate deep dives within yourself that will as a result, give you a greater understanding of others and the community at-large. On a day like this, maybe you would take extra introspective time to journal or meditate. See how this can be extremely productive for checking off your to-do list?
3. My intentions are aligned with my purpose
You know those pretty pieces of paper that bloggers take photos of that have 3-5 goals for the month ahead? Those are intentions and astrology can help you focus in on your life targets for that month, week, year etc. Just like astrology can help organize your calendar, it can help on a broader scope of inspiring you to align your intentions with your internal purpose, dependent on where the planets are in your chart. For example, your focus could be love, travel, career, relationships etc. Sure you can scratch the surface by reading your horoscope, but I highly recommend an astrology session that is based on your unique chart, because no ones chart is the same.
