Block Blue Light with These Stylish Specs

If you’re like me, you spend a good portion of your day staring at screens — laptop, cellphone, tablet, TV etc. Screens pretty much rule the world right now, and that’s a scary thought. Alas, amidst the obsessive tech-binging scene, there is a de-teching renaissance happening. Screen-staring negative side effects like eye strain, headaches, and even vision loss are on the rise. The culprit? Blue light.

So, what is blue light?

Blue light is high-energy visible light that stems from artificial tech sources. It’s hard for our eyes to process, hence the headaches and eye strain that you may experience after pulling long-hour work days. Because we hold screens so close to our face and body there is an increased concern for our health — in particular, our eyes.

Whether you have 20-20 vision or are legally blind, it’s a good idea to pick up a pair of blue-light blocking glasses. And that’s why I was so excited when Covry, a glasses brand with super stylish blue-light blocking glasses, asked me to partner with them!

Why Covry?

Covry is a brand that was on my radar before I had their blue-light blocking glasses because of their chic aesthetic and I’m a sucker for accessories. But, most importantly I love Covry because they are authentically mindful when it comes to the fit and function of their glasses. They have a home try-on program to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase and have a range of innovative styles to fit all of your wants and needs — such as their elevated fit, which sits slightly higher on your nose if you have bigger cheek bones. And wait for it… they’re sustainable.

All of Covry’s glasses are handmade out of plant-based, cellulose acetate (so not the toxic petroleum kind). The natural material gives the frame a unique pattern so each and every frame is one-of-a-kind. Lastly, all packaging is made with vegan leather for all of you ethical-enthusiasts out there.

I have a pair of the Chara Clear blue-light blocking glasses with the white tortoise accents and I don’t think I’ve gone a day without receiving a compliment on them — bible. I take them everywhere with me because I can truly feel a difference in how my eyes and head feel after a long work day compared to when I work without them. No pain, no stress, no problem! Not to mention they are clear so they match with any outfit and make me feel like a total girl boss.

This particular pair is pretty trendy, but they have loads of other options for every type of personality. Go classic and conservative with the Nash or Pavo black or take a walk on the wild side with the Anser Poppy. Covry is a boundless brand to trust that is stylish, sustainable, and smart all-in-one!

Do you have any tips for writing posts? That’s where I constantly battle and I just
wind up gazing empty screen for lengthy time.

I would recommend putting a pen to paper first with your initial ideas and outline and then when you have a good idea and framework of what you want to write, then hit the blog and pencil in some screen time!
